The Sana'a University Journal of Medical Sciences is the official of the Sana'a University for faculty of medicine and health sciences. It is also the official journal of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Dentistry. It is publication bi-annually under the auspices of Sana'a University.
The (SUJMS) publishes original articles that offer significant contribution in the broad field of medicine, surgery, pharmacy, dentistry and allied sciences. Articles on medical education, history and the socioeconomic aspects of medical care in Yemeni society are welcomed.
Three copies of the manuscript and all art work should be submitted to (SUJMS) secretariat. Please type manuscript (including references) double – spaced with 2.5 cm wide margins, on 21×28 cm or consecutively and organize the manuscript in the order indicated below. Spell out abbreviations first, then abbreviate in paretheses.
The title page should contain:
- The title of the article.
- Names and academic degree for each contributing author (first name, initials, surname and degrees).
- Department (s) and institution (s) to which the work should be attributed.
- Name, address, phone, fax, e-mail and address for corresponding author.
The abstract should contain less than 250 words outlining the aim(s), study design, results and conculsions of the paper.
The manuscript is divided into section:-
Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
Reference should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text. List all author when they are six or liss. If more than six add "et al" after the sixth author.
References to journal articles should include:-
Authors, Year, Title, Journal name as abbreviated in index Medicus, if not included in index Medicus, journal title should be given in full, Volume and issue nimber, and page number.
References to book should give:
Name(s) of author, chapter title, editors, title of the book, place of publication, publisher's name, date, and page number.
Individuals, other than author, who were of direct help in the reported work should be acknowledged by a brief statement on a separate page. Grants should be mentioned.
Each table should be typed on a separate sheet of paper with an identifying number and a short descriptive title. Place explanatory matter in footnotes, use Arabic numerals. Make sure all information is complete for each table and that table information does not duplicate text material.
Submit "3" sets of figures, they should be sharp black and white prints, each figure should have a label pasted on the top back of the figure providing figure number and author(s) name.
Accepted papers need to be submitted on CD.
